Following the fire that damaged the original storage facility at Charlotte
Maxeke Johannesburg Hospital, Godisang Spaces was appointed to
assist in the rebuilding process. Our scope focused on the installation of
EPS wall panels, plaster spraying, and final smooth plaster finishing for
the new 3,500 m² dry store facility.
The EPS walling system was selected for its fire resistance, insulation
performance, and clean, low-maintenance finish — ideal for healthcare
environments. The new structure includes compartmentalized wall
sections designed to isolate potential fire zones and enhance overall
safety. Our work helped ensure a fast turnaround, high-quality finish,
and long-term durability for this critical healthcare storage space.
